The Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication – Communication Sector announced on Monday the extension of the deadline for submitting applications for the 23rd edition of the National Grand Journalism Award for the year 2025, until October 20, to allow all journalists to complete their application files.
According to a statement from the Ministry, the award covers several journalism categories, including: Television, Radio, Print Press, Online Journalism, News Agency Journalism, Regional Journalism, Amazigh Journalism, Cultural and Saharan-Hassani Journalism, Photography, Investigative Reporting, and Editorial Cartooning.
The award also includes honorary distinctions, one of which recognizes a national media figure who has made significant contributions to the development of Moroccan journalism and the promotion of professional ethics, while another honors Moroccan journalists working for foreign media outlets, whether inside or outside Morocco.
Eligible candidates must be Moroccan nationals, have practiced journalism for at least three years, hold a valid press card for the current year, and must not be members of the organizing or judging committees, nor have won the award in the past three editions.
Applicants may submit their work individually or as part of a team, with only one entry per category, except for the Photography Award, which allows up to ten photographs. Media organizations may also nominate one of their journalists or teams.
Submitted works must have been published or broadcast by national or regional media outlets between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025. For online journalism, the works must remain available on the respective websites until the official announcement of the winners.
Entries must be submitted in five copies to the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee at the Ministry’s headquarters (Avenue Allal El Fassi, Madinat Al Irfane – Souissi, Rabat), accompanied by the official application form, available on the Ministry’s website: www.mjcc.gov.ma
.
Would you like me to translate it into formal English news style, as it would appear in an international press release?
